John Deere upgrades to FuelMaster diesel tanks
John Deere, the internationally-renowned manufacturer of agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery and diesel engines, needed to upgrade old and corroded fuel tanks at its head office in Illinois
Challenge
John Deere, the internationally-renowned manufacturer of agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery and diesel engines, needed to upgrade old and corroded fuel tanks at its head office in Illinois. The tanks stored the diesel needed to run new machinery for the company.
The upgrade was given additional impetus by an industry shift from using red to ultra-low sulphur diesel. The latter is better suited to modern tractor engines, however, it needs to be stored responsibly.
Solution
The company decided to replace its aging tanks with two FuelMaster® tanks.
The FuelMaster range is specifically designed for the safe storage, distribution and protection of all types of diesel fuel. They are manufactured to a very high-spec, constructed in rotary-moulded plastic, and meet international regulatory standards for on-site fuel storage.
Every tank in the range is double-skinned and fitted with a lockable cabinet to safeguard the integral pump and nozzle and all ancillary equipment.
FuelMaster tanks are also fitted with the innovative Watchman Anywhere monitoring device, which measures fuel levels within the tank and then provides remote access to this information remotely to users via web-enabled devices.
The tanks have been installed at John Deere and have more than met the customer’s expectations, successfully storing and dispensing their ultra-low sulphur diesel – once again demonstrating the proficiency of our diesel storage and dispensing solutions’ and their ability to provide safe and effective above-ground fuel storage.
